Why Sandeep Lamichanne isn't getting a place on Delhi Capital's team XI?

Actually, It is so late for me to put my view as this 2020 IPL is already about to finish on coming 10th of Nov 2020 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, on Tuesday. though I couldn't stop myself to put my two words on this viral concern. At this time as we see everywhere, all our youngsters or cricketers are taking concerned on a fine Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichanne's IPL journey of this 2020. Some of them are just trolling him in many different ways and some of them are just arguing on him that why he isn't getting chance to be in DC XI so far.

We have even seen his talents on all over the globe, recently in this Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in Trinidad and Tobago, where we saw his exceptional performance. He took 12 wickets with the run rate of just 5.3 in this year CPLT20 just playing 11 matches. After seeing all of his recent sizzling CPLT20 performance many of his fans would have hoped big on this 2020 IPL, but because of some reason till this writing date, he couldn't make his 2020 IPL debut this year so far on the side of  Delhi Capitals (DC) in Dubai.

As we all know that DC has kept Sandeep for NPR 3.2 million for this IPL series. Till this date, he isn't getting chance to show his talent on the field of Dubai this time, here in social media some of his fans are continuously trolling him as saying the person who took 3.2 million rupees just to watch IPL and some are saying that he is just there to carry water. Not only this, some of them continuously expressing their unhappiness with Delhi Capitals (DC) by reacting angry emoji on DC's Facebook's posts and giving some negative comments there etc.

I understand that it doesn't feel good if our beloved person doesn't get a single chance, while others are continuously getting. But in a tournament like this, sometimes our calculation doesn't match as exactly as we calculate them on our side. There come too many things to manage even if we don't see them from outside. Here is also the same thing happening with our boy Sandeep and DC. If I am not wrong here, even the DC badly want to have sandy to be on their XI side as much as it is possible.

As I said here earlier that there is something wrong with our calculation. Yes, there is something wrong. On my analysis, DC eagerly missing Sandy on their XI but they are not finding a place for him there not because DC have more other outstanding better players than Sandy but because they aren't being able to manage their team XI this time.

Here are some critical things to know about Sandeep not getting the place in this 2020 IPL. One big problem is that DC doesn't have an extra mature Indian pace bowler to replace African pace bowler Rabada and Anrich Nortje or injury of pace bowler Ishant Sharma is the one key problem for sandy. If he had been here well, DC could easily replace Anrich or Rabada to make an extra place for Sandeep. And another problem is DC local boys are not being on form since the tournament of this IPL, especially Rishav Pant.

Here, they don't have fine Indian pace bowler to attack their opponent so they must take Rabada and Anrich Nortje. And I said some of their highly expected boys like Prithivi, Rishav and Rahane aren't on form this time so they need Stonish and Shimron as a batting option.

None of us is unknown to this IPL international player's protocol. One team can take only 4 international players in their team XI. Stonish, Rabada, Nortje, Hetmyer are always likely to be on DC team XI so far for this Dream 11 IPL 2020 because all of them are on their best form. To give Sandeep a chance here is really a big decision from DC. If somehow they give a chance to Sandy, their would-be team XI like this:- Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Sikhar   Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishav Pant, Axar Patel, Markus Stonish, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Ravichandra Ashwin, and Sandeep Lamichanee. On this format, DC isn't satisfied with their boys Shaw, Rahane and Pant's performance. Thus, DC wants Stonish and Shimron both to be in XI for the last order destructive batting.

Even if DC believes on their shooters and gives Sandy a place of Shimron, DC doesn't satisfy with their XI. They find their bowling side incomplete as they get only 4 main bowlers or only two pace attackers. On this time they need one more Indian pace bowler to accompany Rabada and Nortje. If they get one, there should be one batsman out. Which isn't going to work at all.

However, if skipper uses the allrounder Stonish to bowl some overs in a good time, they can go ahead easily. Axer Patel is on soo good form on both batting and bowling this year so I don't think that they want to replace him with Harsal Patel. If Stonish bowl for a Delhi, there is no need to change on this XI. They can get good XI.  If they find this as a little dangerous to have 3 spinners in a single game, they can take Harsal Patel on their XI to accompany Rabada and Nortje. He can also do both ball and bat. To make this done, DC must have a big think. There might have been the different result with Mumbi Indians last night if there was Sandeep Lamichanne playing on the place of Daniel Sams.

I have seen some social media users saying that Sandeep should be replaced with Ravichandra Ashwin. But I say this isn't going to happen not because Sandeep isn't good enough to fulfil this place, but because they think that they cannot make a good XI on this stage. At this time they get XI like this:- Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Sikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishav Pant, Axar Patel, Markus Stonish, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tushar Deshpande and Sandeep Lamichanne, which isn't a bad team XI at all. However, DC isn't going to replace Lamichanne on the place of Ashwin as long as Ashwin is good to go because he has been an exceptional bowler for DC this time. He is a mature and smart spin bowler. He has already taken 13 valuable top-order wickets out of 13 matches with a good economy rate of 7.50. It is also not a good idea to make a sudden replacement for your team eleven.

In the end, I just say that it's not good to be aggressive here. This is all the match and team of our player Sandy. Out behaviour shouldn't make anybody to feel sad. It is always better to think positive and follow this track and get something amazing from them. None should be sad with this situation here, even Sandeep isn't in XI, he is continuously putting his effort to make their XI well-practised in outside. Let's stop thinking more and being aggressive here. Let's say Good Luck for him and his team and all emerging new cricket talents to rise up and up.
